Abstract

The article discusses the benefits of short sprints done regularly as exercise. It cites the findings of Welsh researchers who report that six 30-second sprints three times a week can provide cardiovascular benefits equivalent to jogging or cycling 45 minutes several times a week. It notes that the program may not burn as many calories as longer workouts but it requires less time, may be easier to stick to, and is cheaper than joining a gym.
