Abstract

Presents research which reported the magnetometer and electron reflectometer investigation (MAG/ER) on the Mars Global Surveyor. Solar wind interaction; Comparison with Venus and active comets; Ionospheric-atmospheric interaction; No significant planetary magnetic field of global scale evident; Multiple magnetic anomalies of small spatial scale in crust.
