Abstract
- The article considers the limited supply of lithium and its effect on the automobile industry's reliance on lithium ion batteries as its standard source of power for electric and hybrid vehicles. The author feels that the majority of lithium will be supplied by South American countries such as Argentina and Bolivia. Lithium extraction projects in China are also mentioned.
