Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the effects of an approach towards clauvanic acid (CA) strain and improvement, and enhanced production in Streptomyces clavuligerus. It states that the method involves the use of oils on cell growth and CA production. It also analyzes the profiles of free fatty acid in the fermentation broth. Results show that the selection of an oleic acid resistant mutant is an effective method for increasing CA production.
