Abstract
- The article focuses on the designs developed by several companies for the EP-X aircraft, the U.S. Navy's replacement for the aging EP-3E Aries II signals and communications surveillance aircraft. The proposed design would include a large-aperture AESA radar that would grant the aircraft network-centric warfare and esoteric field of information operation capabilities. The competitors mentioned include Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman.
