Abstract: Reports on cases of human rabies in California, Georgia, Minnesota, New York, and Wisconsin in 2000. Death of all of the patients as a result of the disease; Number of rabies cases which have been associated with bites from bats; Suggestion that medical advice should be sought for any type of animal bite.
