Abstract

This article discusses the presence of nuclear weapons in Pakistan. It is noted that the country's one hundred nuclear warheads are guarded by a military unit, but that its nuclear-research-and-production facilities, such as Kahuta, are less secure. The U.S. has given Pakistan approximately one hundred million dollars to improve security, but is concerned over a lack of attention to the loyalty of thousands of employees.
