VICTORY ON THE HORIZON.

The article reports on a ruling issued by a superior court in the Virgin Islands affirming the eligibility of faculty at the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) for collective bargaining. The ruling was welcomed by the UVI American Association of University Professors (AAUP) chapter. The ruling came after the chapter took the lead on several issues. Cards were signed by several faculty members authorizing the chapter to represent them in collective bargaining. A statement was issued by Pat Shaw, member of the organizing staff of the AAUP, on the positive development.
