Abstract
- Develops a procedure for magnesium-ene cyclization in the presence of an allylic oxyanionic group. Application of the method to a highly stereoselective synthesis of bicyclic terpene matatabiether; Conversion of allyl phenyl thioether to an allylmagnesium compound by reductive magnesiation of allyl phenyl sulfides.
