Commissioning Person-Centred, Cost-Effective, Local Support for People with Learning Disabilities.

The article presents a review of a study about out-of-area placement for people with disabilities commissioned by Social Institute for Excellence (SCIE) in Great Britain. It offers an overview on the findings of the study and includes community care statistics on the volume of out-of-area placements. Furthermore, the researchers highlight that there is insufficiency in research on those with complex medical needs such as dual sensory impairments.
