Abstract

The article explores the construction of a multifunctional 3D ferroelectric and nonlinear optical (NLO)-active porous metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). It says that MOFs can be applied in host-guest molecular interactions, catalysis, gas storage, and separation. It provides a framework with chiral tetrahedral secondary building units (SBUs) made by various connections of carboxylate groups to zinc units to form a noncentrosymmetric complex with occupying ferroelectric and NLO properties.
