Abstract
- The article presents a study regarding the role of human papillomavirus (HPV) on sinonasal tract squamous cell carcinomas (SCC) pathogenesis and its impact on clinicopathology in Barcelona, Spain. The study evaluates the SCC patients diagnosed at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona from 1981 to 2006 to determine the HPV infection and its polymerase chain reaction. The result shows that a subgroup of sinonasal SCC is linked with the infection and has better prognosis.
