Abstract
- From 1885 until 1996, Leonora Piper, a Boston medium studied by some distinguished scientists and scholars, was "controlled" by a spirit identifying himself as Phinuit, a French doctor when in the flesh. The researchers were initially inclined to believe that Dr. Phinuit was a "secondary personality" buried away in Mrs. Piper's subconscious. However,, many of them gradually came to accept Phinuit as an actual spirit. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
