Abstract

The article reports on the social responsibility of Canadian business enterprises. The central focus of the article is that certain Canadian companies such as Talisman Energy, accused of complicity with genocide in the Sudan, and Gildan Activewear, which operated clothing sweatshops in Central America, were once viewed as corporate malefactors were. However by 2009, the companies had become models of corporate citizenship.
