Abstract

Examines the diversity of the plasmids and of the gene tdnQ, involved in the oxidative deamination of aniline, in five bacterial strains that are able to metabolize both aniline and 3-chloroaniline (3-CA). Isolation and identification of 3-CA-metabolizing bacteria; Involvement of plasmids in aniline and 3-CA degradation; Comparison of partial tdnQ sequences.
