Abstract
- Reports that health and security experts in India have accused the United States and Russia of deliberately delaying the destruction of the remaining samples of smallpox virus they hold. Concern that samples retained at the U.S. Centers of Disease Control and the Russian State Center of Virology and Biotechnology could be used for biological warfare; How the World Health Assembly has repeatedly supported keeping samples despite the recommendations of the World Health Organization's orthopox virus committee.
