Abstract
- The article presents a study which examines the dentary and cranial and postcranial material of Trematochampsa oblita from the Late Cretaceous of Madagascar. Trematochampsa oblita is represented by one specimen which comprises of three mandibular fragments and a partial surangular gathered from Upper Cretaceous deposits. Upon comparison with Trematochampsa taqueti, the new material showed the lack of any synapomorphies supporting the generic grouping, thus leading to the erection of a new genus. The presentation of new material has aided the increase of phylogenetic resolution within specific groups of Mesoeucrodylia.
