ISA Paper 2008The Political Economy of Central Banking Reform in TurkeyIn 2001, the Turkish government reformed the Central Bank of Turkey Act, joining the cross-national trend towards increased legal independence, transparency and accountability. This paper is about the timing and content of this reform.
