Abstract

What does the history of U.S.-China foreign policy making tell us about the future relationship between the most powerful country and the largest and fastest growing developing country? Does bilateral reciprocity promote cooperation? Is there any adaptive pattern in the foreign policy making between the two countries? This paper aims at answering these questions using machine-coded monthly events data and VAR time series analysis for the period between 1990 and 2005. ..PAT.-Unpublished Manuscript [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
