Abstract

This article contends that the discipline of political science in the U.S. has still much to learn from identity politics and from feminist discussion of the subject. It explains that identity and subjectivity are political and understanding them are important to exploring such issues as sexual citizenship and sexual regulation. It cites that contemporary public policies that seek to regulate sexuality can be better understand through identity politics.
