Abstract

The article reports on the reopening of the Pitt Rivers Museum of the Oxford University in England in May 2009. The museum features an 11-metre high Haida Totem pole at its entranceway. An environmental control system was installed as part of the museum's renovations. According to Andy McLellan, the museum's head of education, over 20,000 children visited the museum on scheduled trips in 2007-2008.
