Abstract
- The Special Educational Needs Tribunal is now a permanent feature in the processing of appeals of parents against local authority decisions about their child. The National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) was commissioned to look into the operation of such tribunals. Here Jennifer Evans describes the outcomes of that investigation, examining both the positive and negative aspects of decisions. The full report, Getting It Right: LEAs and the Special Educational Needs Tribunals, can be obtained from the Dissemination Unit, NFER, The Mere, Upton Park, Slough SL1 2DQ, price £6.00.
