In the last decade important results have been achieved with the usage of geostatistical methods for the solution of geologic and mining problems, particularly in the estimate process of resources in Cuban lateritic deposits. Their uses imply on the one hand, to master fundamental concepts such as: the semivariogram calculation and adjustment, the kriging estimate and the geostatistical simulation, on the other hand, it is necessary to carry out a suitable processing interpretation in each moment, which depends on the experience of specialists on the subject. In this paper, some comments are presented on the article Geostatistical models of the nickel concentration in the domain 7 of Punta Gorda deposit with regard to the geostatistical simulation.
