Abstract

The article offers suggestions for parents on how to involve overweight children with them to lose the extra pounds both of the parents and the kids. For kids aged between 5-8, it recommends to play games such as hide-and-seek for half an hour with the kids which will burn about 30 of their calories and 150 of the parents. For children aged between 9-12, it suggests to go for exercises that combine balance with cardiovascular fitness to boost athletic performance and the overall coordination.
