Abstract
- A part of the journal "Theory and Practice: Journal of the Music Theory Society of New York State" is presented. It presents the author's meeting with American composer and music theorist George Perle while both were teaching at Queens College music school in New York City. He admits that he appreciates the balance of theoretical complexity and wit found in Perle's music. He also admires the piece composed by Perle for large chamber ensemble.
