Abstract
- The article presents the text of remarks given by U.S. President Barack Obama on July 24, 2009, in which he discussed the signing of a proclamation in commemoration of the 19th anniversary of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). He acknowledged the presence of Attorney General Eric Holder, Governors David Paterson of New York and Christine Gregoire from Washington. He traced the movement that led to the passing of ADA. He explained that ADA advocates the promotion of equal benefits for all citizens.
