Abstract
- The article reports on mental health services in Australia. A survey conducted by Relationships Australia found that anxiety rates regarding the financial impact of the global economic crisis rose from 18% in 2006 to 40% in 2008. Clare Martin, chief executive officer of the Australian Council of Social Services, states that the mentally ill are an excluded group. The U.S. government instituted the $1.2 billion Homelessness White Paper which aims to cut homelessness in half by 2020. INSETS: Queensland mental health nurse ambassador;Consumer-based care.
