Abstract
- The article reports that the newspaper publisher Freedom Communications Inc., owner of the "Orange County Register" and 30 other U.S. newspapers as well as television stations, will file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The company's creditors, which hold more than $700 million of its debt, will take control of its operations as it restructures during bankruptcy.
