Abstract
- The article reports that the publisher of daily newspapers in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, proposed to its lenders to lessen debt by 300 million U.S. dollars in exchange for approximately 90 million U.S. dollars worth of cash, real estate and bankruptcy costs. Lenders of the publisher include CIT Group Inc. Angelo, Gordon & Co. and Citizens Bank. The said proposal created a conflict between lenders and company chief executive Brian Terney.
