Abstract

Information about several papers discussed at the 16th International Congress on Nitrogen Fixation (ICNF) which was held in Big Sky, Montana in June 2009 is presented. Topics included genotypic interaction among legume hosts, anti-pathogenic adaptations of nitrogen-fixing symbionts, harsh environments, further development of legume production for food, and other wider benefits of legumes. It featured several nitrogen fixation researchers including J. Ardley, J. Howieson, and B. Boddey.
