Abstract
- The article presents an update on the world stock markets as of August 2009. On August 18, the Shanghai Composite Index in China edged up 1.4% to 2910.88. It notes that the Sensitive Index of the Bombay Stock Exchange in Mumbai, India increased 1.7% to 15035.26. Also mentioned is that the Nikkei Stock Average of 225 firms in Tokyo, Japan went up 0.2% to 10284.96.
