In this article the author discusses Medical Education England (MEE), which is an independent advisory, non-departmental public body in Great Britain that was established in 2009 and is responsible for medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and healthcare science in Great Britain. The author is supportive of MEE but is critical of plans from Great Britain's Department of Health to establish bodies similar to Mee by the end of 2009. Also discussed is the impact MEE may have on medical education funding.
