Abstract
- The article focuses on Manchester, England-based Chetham's School of Music, which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2009. Violin teacher Jan Repko noted that the school offers a balanced education and discourage over-competitiveness among students. Assistant head of strings Catherine Perkins said that the teachers ensure that their students do not get over-stretched. It mentions that the school is raising fund for the construction of a new Chetham's School of Music.
