Abstract

The article presents a case of an Indian citizen immigrant against the entry clearance officer in Great Britain. The immigrant whose husband entered the country through his Portuguese citizenship appealed against the ruling of the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal (AIT) under the Immigration (European Economic Area) Regulations 2000. The claimant argued that her daughter met the criteria for dependency and that the test had not been considered by the AIT. It outlines the assessment of the Secretary of State concerning the case, and highlights the provisions of the Immigration Regulations 2006.
