Abstract
- The article presents a study in determining the chemical composition and phytochemical properties of the bamboo species Bambusa vulgaris from three various bamboo-growing sites in Ghana. The study found out that there was present of acetone extracted from the bamboo with an amount of between 1 and 2.4%. An ethanol was also extracted with an amount of between 2.47% and 6.5%.
