Abstract

The article deals with the plan of the U.S. federal government to pay about 9.5 million U.S. dollars to purchase land for memorial. Under the plan, the Flight 93 National Memorial can be built by the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks. The southwestern Pennsylvania site where the plane crashed was called by Interior Secretary Ken Salazar hallowed ground.
