9/11 and the 'Good War.'.

In this article the author comments on U.S. President Barack Obama's use of the September 11, 2001 (9/11) tragedy to explain and defend the war in Afghanistan. According to the author, the distinction between a war of choice and a war of necessity should be disregarded since it is both morally false and intellectually muddled. He contends that a policy based on 9/11 must proceed from a correct reading of the wellsprings of Islamist radicalism. He points out President Obama's fear of failure in Afghanistan.
