Abstract

The article presents several reports pertaining to the social sciences. U.S. social action programs designed to reduce gang violence among youth through philanthropy are evaluated. The Fall 2009 issue of "The Future of Children," a collaboration of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and the Brookings Institution, focuses on how to prevent the mistreatment of children. According to Daniel Griswold, Director of the Center for Trade Policy Studies at the Cato Institute, an increase in low-skilled alien labor does not increase poverty in the U.S.
