Commentary: When is a Copy not (a Copy)?

The author presents a commentary on the practice of copy deletion in the field of linguistics. He considers the applicability of analyses of familiar languages to phenomena on a less familiar language. He also addresses V-topicalization that is connected to the assumption that topicalization structures involve syntatic movement.
