SOLAR CELLS GET CHEMISTRY HELP.

Information on the European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference, held in Hamburg, Germany to extend the scope of solar energy is presented. The common theme of the conference is to improve solar-cell encapsulating materials. An alliance of chemical companies such as E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. and Applied Materials Inc. showed new products with the purpose to reduce the cost and raise the efficiency of photovoltaic panels made of crystalline silicon or thin-film materials.
