Abstract

The article presents a study on entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana as a pest biological control agent. The study used amphiphilic styryl dye FM4-64 to examine the internalization and morphological attributes of in vitro and in vitro insect haemolymph-derived B. bassian cells. The in vivo blastospores or hyphal bodies showed bright membrane and internal vesicle staining. It suggest that active uptake of different developmental stages of B. bassiana can evade the insect immune system.
