In this article the author discusses issues surrounding taxation in Great Britain. A number of questions arising from the raising or lowering taxation rates are examined including the notion that high tax rates restricts corporate growth, the efficacy of cuts in government spending and the notion that excessive taxes create tax exiles. Among other issues the author finds fault with the tax plans advocated by the British Conservative Party.
