Abstract

The author comments on the article of author Barbara Webb wherein she made contrast to the animal and animat models and their possession of standards of scientific relevance. He concurs to the engagement of the general issue of model interpretation in adaptive behavior and artificial life. He mentions the failure of Webb to recognize that there are many other kinds of modeling methodologies that provides different but equally valid answers to the questions related to the model's target.
