Abstract

A new rhodamine-based derivative bearing a pyrene group (PRC) was synthesized as a ratiometric and “off−on” chemosensor for Cu2+. PRC displayed a selective and chelation enhanced ratiometric fluorescence change and colorimetric change with Cu2+among the metal ions examined. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
