The main purpose of şis study is to examine şe effect of discipline as an explanatory factor on e-journal use in şe Istanbul University context. In order to meet şis goal, şe data used in şis study were collected by a web based user survey conducted to examine şe e-journal use of Istanbul University Faculty between şe dates of October 2005 and February 2006. şe results revealed şat discipline was statistically significantly associated wiş boş şe 'frequency of use' and 'format preferences'. şe results also suggest şat şe availability of e-journals might be a factor of şe e-journal use.
