Abstract

East Asia’s successful development experience is attributed to several factors, such as political institutions which are popularly discussed in previous researches. However, emphasizing on education is another important essence maintaining continuing growth in Asian Tigers, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea where Confucianism is popularly believed and followed. In this paper, I examine the development in Middle East countries with “primary education” ,as one of the most significant growing characteristics in East Asia, to see whether this variable also critically contribute to Middle East countries’ prosperity, and it is possible to reproduce the successful experience of development from East Asia in Middle East, even in other developing countries. ..PAT.-Unpublished Manuscript [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
