Abstract

The general objective of the present analysis is to characterize the voters’ attitudes and perceptions on key political structures and issues, considering the time period of the Portuguese Parliament elections of 2002 and 2005. It is aimed to analyse the voters’ politics perceptions attitudes evolution, between the two elections period, on several key issues in society and in politics, such as ‘Catholicism’, ‘authority’, ‘profit’ or ‘syndicalism’, amongst other, which are important symbolic elements of a considered civic culture. In methodological terms it is used a multidimensional scale procedure and analysis, based on two post-electoral pools applied on the urban area of the Lisbon’s eight surrounding councils. With this article we seek to contribute to the analysis of the voters’ perceptions about several key structural and infrastructural elements, which knowledge reflects the voters’ involvement on its political culture. ..PAT.-Unpublished Manuscript [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
