Abstract
- The article offers information on the new Harquahala Generating Project (HGP) a combined-cycle 1080 Mega Watts (MW) natural gas power plant owned by MACH Gen LLC, Maricopa County, Arizona. As stated, the new system is capable of handling all automation tasks of the plant including steam and gas turbine controls, boiler protection as well as monitoring the plant and datalogging in the control room. Tangible and intangible benefits of the system are also discussed in the article.
