Abstract
- The article informs that Xcel Energy Inc. has completed the third and final project required by its 2003 metropolitan emissions reduction project (MERP) agreement. The project was for repowering the Riverside Plant in California and tearing down the old coal-fired plant. The existing and unused facilities were demolished or relocated to make room for new equipment. MERP gave two more projects to Xcel Energy Inc. which was completed in 2007 and 2008.
