Abstract
- The article presents the author's insights on the action taken by the publication "PNAS" after it clearly violated the U.S. National Institute of Health (NIH) embargo policy in relation to the Study of Addiction, Genetics and Environment (SAGE). It notes that "PNAS" has published online an article about PKNOX2 gene, but violated the policy after one of the study's authors has signed a Data Use Certification with NIH. It also examines the implications of the case to the scientific community.
